It’s Friday! Good Eats…

I’m sure all of you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend! Last night a couple friends and I  took advantage of the of the last stretch of New York Restaurant Week and ended up at Chez Josephine (42nd/6th Ave).
I  heard great things about the food, and the atmosphere from a number of people and had to see myself. Now, to say that I enjoyed myself would be an understatment….I was in heaven! The food was AMAZING, and the ambiance was great; it felt like you were transported to 1920/1930’s Jazz and Flapper period –Which happens to be one of my favorite era’s.

Here are some photos from last night (ps. sorry for the poor quality photos, all I had was my iphone!)

I would highly recommend this place and look forward to going back soon.

ps. if this isnt your cup of tea, check back later on today for some fashion related discussions! Have a great day! JP

“I only wear the latest, it’s my job,”…what Uncle Karl is up to these days.

While he is not putting together Chanel couture shows in Aircrafts, Uncle Karl non the less still a busy guy. So if you are Fashion Royal Karl Lagerfeld, this week has been a pretty important one. WWD has let us in on Mr. Lagerfeld’s busy schedule just as his Karl collection was set to launch on yesterday, Jan. 25th and on next month. The brand has been dubbed as “effortless cool”  with “fantasic price points.”

The one thing that particular struck my interest is that the line is to be produced and distributed under a license with Italy’s Itierre SpA which is in my family’s hometown of Pettoranello, Italy( where they still live and work today). 🙂

Something interesting: The tag line “I only wear the latest, it’s my job,” will be printed on detacheable leather collars. A very”Karl” statement.

For you fashion lovers who may be interested Friday will be the opening of a 650 Sq. Ft. Pop-Up Shop.!! The Shop will open at 375 Bleeker St. in NYC and will showcase the line and will also feature Karl Lagerfeld books, brooches and other goodies you can get your hands on!

Its Wednesday! Street Style: Downtown NYC

GOOD MORNING! 🙂 So its Wednesday…Hump day!  Just to give you a little insight…this is how I’m feeling this morning:

Anywho, I have a little treat for you all this morning. Something a little different, it is some STREETSTYLE! Basically me, stalking people I find interesting on the streets of NYC. This is how it went…

So, in my opinion, the best style is personal style! We don’t want to look like someone else! We want the world to know, THIS IS ME… So, walking in downtown Manhattan the other day I came across this lovely pair that took a chance on talking to what may have seemed to be a crazed and wet (thanks to the sideways rain and no umbrella), woman on the streets of NY.

Check out Natalie and Emma from London, England below and a recap of our conversation:

JP: Ladies, you look awesome, great sense of personal style.  If you don’t mind me asking, where are you both from?

N&E: Thanks, we are from London. We’re visiting New York for about 4 days.

JP: Obviously you both have a strong sense of personal style and are not afraid to show it. Where would you say you get your inspiration from?

N&E: We love Topshop, and get inspiration from there. We don’t try and look like anyone else, we don’t want to look like a particular person or celebrity. We want to look like ourselves.

JP: Thats great. Its a big part of knowing who you are and what you want to convey to other people.

N&E:  Okay, last question, what is one item in your wardrobe you wouldn’t want to live without?

N: This Hat!

E: Definitely underwear, and jeans too!

JP: Thats awesome, I really love that hat! and I could’nt agree more on the underwear. haha

A big thank you to Natalie and Emma for taking a few minutes out of their day to chat with me! 🙂
